ANDREW
BIELSKI is the founding Artistic Director of the Egress
Theatre Co. Downtown credits include the adaptation and direction of the Egress's The Nose & The Overcoat and The Trial, creation and performance of The Dead Man Waltz with long-time collaborator Brendan McMahon and, the direction of the Egress's repertory productions of Genet's Deathwatch and The Maids. Other credits include The
Waste Land Project, Steinbeck’s
Of Mice and Men and staged readings
with First Look Theatre Company, NYU.
BRENDAN McMAHON is an Artistic Associate of the Egress Theatre
Co. and co-founder of the New Orleans-based street theatre company,
Umbrella Grottesco. In addition to various regional appearances,
Brendan's New York credits include the Egress Theater Co.'s Deathwatch and The Maids, The Nose & The Overcoat and The Dead Man Waltz, DIG's festival of new work, The
New Guy, Ritual
Starvation, The Frankenstein Summer and, most recently, Lake Simons' adaptation of Alice in Wonderland at HERE Arts Center.
PATRICK PENTA is an Artistic Associate of the Egress Theatre
Company. Most recently he composed and performed music for The Trial, for which he was awarded a Meet the Composer Creative Connections grant. Patrick also acted as co-composer, Musical Director, and mandolinist for The Nose & The Overcoat and The Dead Man Waltz. A co-founder of NYC’s Dramatic Interest Group
(DIG), Pat has also co-authored the musicals Borstal Boy and The Devil & Doctor Faust. He is a long time collaborator
with film-maker Anthony Penta of Pentaworks. Patrick also edits Oddfellow Magazine, a new bi-annual publication of humor, strange fiction, and whimsy.
MAGGIE SMITH is an Artistic Associate of the Egress Theatre
Co. and co-founder of New Orleans street theatre group, Umbrella
Grottesco. Regional appearances include The Purple Rose Theatre
Company, The National Playwrights Conference at the Eugene O'Neill
Theatre Center, Redmoon Theatre, and the Jewish
Ensemble Theatre. New York credits include Pink at Theatre
Row, Ritual Starvation, and the Egress’s The Nose & The Overcoat and The Dead Man
Waltz. Maggie is also a member of Youngblood, ESTs playwrighting residency for emerging professional writers under thirty.
